Dragon Ball Opening Five years after, Goku is a young adult and dad to his son Gohan, when Raditz arrives on Earth, identifies Goku as his smaller brother 'Kakarrot' and discloses to him that they're members of a virtually extinct extraterrestrial race known as the Saiyans (Saiyajin?), who sent Goku to capture Earth for them, until he suffered a serious head injury and lost all memory of his assignment. Goku gives his life to defeat Raditz, and refuses to continue the assignment, sides with Piccolo. Under the North Kaio Goku trains in the afterlife until he's restored by the Dragon Balls to save the Earth from the invading Nappa and Vegeta. In the conflict Yamcha, Chaozu, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo are killed, and the Dragon Balls stop to exist.
