In a tranquil rural landscape, isolated and high in the mountains sits Hisatate Town. Amagase Ryou, recently moved there from the city with his family. On his first day he witnesses the strange traditions of this place and cannot believe it, as anyone who breaks the rules is punished without mercy... The residents are viciously beaten for trivial reasons. What does the future hold for the newcomers when one of them break the rules?

Following an earthquake in an unnamed prefecture of Japan, a fault is discovered on Amigara Mountain, very close to the epicenter of the quake. On the slopes of the mountain, two hikers meet; a man named Owaki and a woman named Yoshida. The former assumes that they are both here to see the fault, which has captured the attention of the global press. Following the sound of voices to the fault, the two of them marvel at the strange sight before them: countless human-shaped holes in a rock face exposed by the earthquake.
There are five 24-year-olds whose first memory dates back to 1994, when a mysterious crime took place. Will they manage to evade the perils that come with it?

The House with the Mezzanine by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov<br>“The House With The Mezzanine” is the story of a somewhat diffident young man, a painter, and his somewhat tenuous romance with two sisters during a vacation; the story is laden with the impressionistic images conjured up by its narrator and is one of Chekhov’s finest short stories.<br><br>3. Twenty-six Men and a Girl by Maxim Gorky<br>“Twenty-six Men and a Girl” is a pioneering story of Social Realism (predating Soviet socialist realism), and is a story of lost ideals. Twenty-six men labor in a cellar, making kringles in an effective prison. They are looked down upon by all around them, including the bun bakers. Their only seeming solace is the sixteen-year-old Tanya who visits them every morning for kringles they give her.<br><br>4. Ju-ga Original Series by Tanabe Gou
Manga adaption of H. P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space" In the tale, an unnamed narrator pieces together the story of an area known by the locals as the "blasted heath" in the wild hills west of Arkham, Massachusetts. The narrator discovers that many years ago a meteorite crashed there, poisoning every living being nearby; vegetation grows large but foul tasting, animals are driven mad and deformed into grotesque shapes, and the people go insane or die one by one.
Habu Mioh, the son of the Dragon King, gets banished to the human realm as punishment for his lack of interest in living up to his role as successor to the throne. Once there, he finds himself under constant attack by various demon beasts, who mostly are interested in getting their hands on his liver, which is said to hold the secrets to eternal life and youthfulness.
