From Translated Treasures: It is a multi-perspective story following several different characters. The central character is Archer Rogue. Archer's entire family is a bit off-kilter. His father Ed is bi-polar due to physical abuse from his father as a child. As a result, he beats Archer at times ("for his own good"), or swings to a scared, child-like persona and is incapable of even feeding himself. Archer's childhood was understandably difficult, and he's a rather closed-off, violent person as a result. His older half-brother Murphy is mentally retarded. The story follows Archer (street name: El Gato) as he works with Deano to infiltrate the drug cartel that has a long-standing grudge against his gang. Along the way he meets Ken, not knowing that he is also infiltrating the cartel (for the police). It contains lots of conflict between groups, inside of groups, and with seeming random strangers. The stories in the first volume are in published order, rather than chronological: the first manga begins with Archer being released from prison for shooting his father. A high-school student named Yu Komori is bitten by a radioactive spider, which gave him spider-like powers. Yu faces Japanese versions of villains such as Electro, the Lizard and the Kangaroo. Yu also has an Aunt May (her name is "Mei"), and the publisher of the Joho newspaper is a counterpart to J. Jonah Jameson. Only 7 out of the 13 Japanese stories in total were fully translated by Marvel, with heavy edits to remove the violent scenes. After that the title was cancelled, which was a likely decision by Marvel since the stories written by Hirai departed even further from the source material, and included scenes of sexual and gruesome imagery of a kind not seen in the original US Spider-Man comics.

The protagonist Nakuto, has his sights on becoming the "War God" aka the Champion of a gladiator style tournament with a twist. When Nakuto tries to enter this tournament, he learns that there's a special condition required for entering. He must partner with a beautiful woman along as collateral, and so by chance he finds his childhood friend, Hazumi in town worried for him. Since he has no other choice he enters Hazumi as his partner. Much to Nakuto and Harumi's horror they learn of the reason for the female partners. Winners of these tournament matches can do whatever they so please to the losing opponent's partner for a whole day.
