1492 in the Gregorian calendar marked an era of peace in the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, where the Luxurors lived lavishly while the underprivileged Casualries struggled to make ends meet in a caste-based society. The Mikado citadel was guarded against unwanted demons by samurai, comprising both classes. Walter, a hotheaded Casualry boy, and his friend Gina, a childhood acquaintance, were two of the fresh samurai recruits with complementing personalities - while Walter always found himself in trouble, Gina would bail him out.
