A man was killed by a group of acquaintances five years ago. Shintarou Nakamura, Akira Kanzaki, Ryuu Nimaidou, Haruka Nagase, and Tsubaki Toyoshima visit the murder site each year to renew their vow of secrecy. When they hear of a golf course development planned for the area, they return to move the body. Instead of finding remains, they discover a cell phone that starts ringing. After answering the call, they're informed by a stranger that the bones are missing and their crime has been exposed. To avoid imprisonment, they agree to complete a "favor" for the caller, but this task unravels a scheme that strains their bond.

The student population is split into two factions: the "saviors" who employ their Puraana powers to wield weapons and fight their enemies, and the "Kuroma" who use their Maana abilities to defeat foes by employing magical skills that defy the laws of physics.
