The year is 1991 and 6th grader Yaguchi Haruo only has video games to live for. He's not popular in school and he's neither handsome, funny, nice nor even friendly. The only thing he has going for him is that he is good at video games. One day at the local arcade, he plays Oono Akira, a fellow classmate but who's popular, smart, pretty and a rich girl that absolutely destroys him at Street Fighter II. Not only does he lose to her 30 times in a row, he can’t beat her at any game. Haruo can’t seem to shake Akira off as she follows him from arcade to arcade everyday after school and beats him every time. As weird as it sounds, the odd couple begins a strange bond and friendship. Third runner-up for the 2013 Manga Taisho Awards.
The manga will focus on the character Koharu Hidaka, who is a middle school teacher close to 30 years old in 2007.
Hanako and her two companions are highly enthusiastic about addressing women's issues. They have created a range of creatively suggestive high school club names for every cause they advocate. Some of their initiatives include campaigning against the discomfort of undergarments like bras and panties, and seeking to develop the perfect vibrator for women. They often take their ideas to the extreme, even involving Hanako's male childhood friend, but their zeal never wanes!

When Keiichi Maebara moved to the small village of Hinamizawa, he did not expect to make friends so quickly. Now Keiichi's days are spent having fun and playing games with his new companions, and his life couldn't be better. However, one day he sees one of his friends, the tomboyish Mion Sonozaki, working at a maid café. Deciding to tease her about it, his initial joking quickly turns to shock as the girl reveals that she is actually Mion's twin sister, Shion. As luck would have it, both girls want to spend the annual Cotton Drifting Festival by Keiichi's side. But when Shion breaks the town's sacred rules and sneaks into a sealed shrine during the festival, dragging Keiichi along with her, things take a turn for the worse. Now, Keiichi and Shion find themselves in fear of being spirited away due to their mistake and must find a way to atone before it is too late. Rika Furude had always known Hinamizawa as her home, finding comfort in the peaceful mountain village and the company of her friends. Unfortunately, Natsumi was unaware that the catastrophic "Great Hinamizawa Disaster" would soon lead to many terrifying misfortunes. After the incident, Natsumi's grandmother, who had previously lived in Hinamizawa, began exhibiting extremely suspicious behavior. She believed that Oyashiro's curse was imminent and tried to quell it by placing talismans all over their home and killing puppies. These terrifying and erratic actions caused Natsumi and her family to fear for their safety, leading her mother to commit an unspeakable act.
