This story is based on the life of the famous historical author, Izumi Kyoka, who wrote about the fantastic in the Meiji period. In this manga, Kyoka writes for the Fantasy Club magazine, and he encounters many supernatural, often onmyoudou-related, incidents. Together with his managing editor Kozuki Masumi, other friends and colleagues, and his own mysterious abilities, Kyoka tries to find a way to resolve each mysterious situation
The story follows musician Kyousuke, who lost his partner Kai just before their big debut, and consequently distanced himself from music. Three years later, Kai suddenly reappears in front of Kyousuke and tells him that doing nothing is the same as being dead.
Fuu is a girl who was born as an elf/human hybrid, which caused her to be unwanted by either side. Fuu leaves her hometown and arrives at a place called "Limbo", a world where hybrids like Fuu gather. Day by day, Fuu's interactions with the residents of Limbo let her heart and feelings grow bit by bit.
