In the whole world there lay a mythical creatures which have their own ecosystem and can’t be considered part of the food chain. They also have supernatural powers and live together with humans. Ferry is one of the professional investigator, who researches the connection between the creatures and humans and is called a Genjuu Chousain (Mythical Beast Investigator). The story starts when a flying reptilian dragon (Wyvern) is attacking a village, and a Girl dispatch on the quest to research and investigate Wyvern and other mythical creatures.

Tabi is traveling to a town to meet her Childhood friend, "Kou-chan", on a train. When she arrives, she meets an Officer, Nishimura, and an energetic young man. Certain roads in the town will try to "eat" people by randomly falling into a deep pit, the town resets after each day, making the same events as the previous day occur, and the townspeople don't notice anything out of the ordinary, forgetting each time; the exceptions being Tabi, Yukita, and Nishimura.
The original Kotaro Makaritoru contained 7 Major Archs and 1 side series. Initially the comic was filled with slapstick comedy and small sexual humor, but as the story progressed, the comic became more mature and serious. However, some of the classic humor remained. Koutarou Shindou - A high school aged karate expert who is descended from a long line of ninja. While he may be a fighting genius, he lacks common sense and any inhibitions whatsoever. He spends most of his time getting into trouble with school officials, and trying to steal girls' panties; especially Mayumi's. He is very protective of three things: his long hair, his panty collection, and Mayumi.
