Moee-chan is impervious to the majority of stimuli, whether it be obtaining a popsicle stick, being bestowed with a million yen, or facing imminent apocalypse with just ten seconds left. Furthermore, her disposition remains steady and unhurried, as she proceeds serenely at her own rhythm. Curiously, extraordinary circumstances have a tendency to arise in proximity to Moee-chan, without reason or description.
Douden Moee doesn't care much about things. Whether she gets a winning popsicle stick, or a million yen fell right in front of her, or it's just ten seconds before the world ends, for sure her expression would not change, and would always go about with her own pace with composure. And surrounding Moee-chan, unbelievable things have been mysteriously happening!?
MoeKan was a short comic that debuted on Kitayume in 2006. However, it was removed from the site with its revamps in late 2007 and early 2008. It is notable yet controversial in its lead character being a Korean and their depiction. The title derives from the word moe (lit: "bud", a slang term used to describe things that one has an affection for) as well as Kankoku, the Japanese word for South Korea. Seven strips were drawn for the comic. It is unknown if Himaruya planned to continue it or not. An early working title seen in a colored picture of Sena was Korea Mansae!. _________________________________________The story begins with a young girl named Sena being warned by her mother that if she doesn't behave herself, the Japanese (depicted by her mother as evil and with fangs) will come and eat her. Sena is upset by this, and says that Japan is "scary".
A human girl named Mika moves to Rokushokuchou, a town inhabited by the race of people known as beastfolk. In this unfamiliar place amidst the beastfolk, poor, bewildered Mika receives help from Kei, an ill-mannered dogperson! But it seems there's something about Mika's smell that makes beastfolks' hearts race...

High school boy Koguchi Torao sees Mogusa Minori, a quiet, reserved girl in his class, walk into the restaurant run by his family and order an unbelievable amount of food, and even more surprisingly, sees that she keeps unagi pie (a sweet biscuit made with powdered eel) in her wallet?!The story revolves around Koguchi and Mogusa's meetings in daily life and Koguchi's observations of Mogusa's unbelievable (and quite eccentric) eating habits.
