Somewhere, there’s a business town where angels and devils work. Former two colleagues, Kuroishi and Hoshiuchi landed themselves in this part of the world after dying from having (too much) sex and started working as a devil and an angel respectively. Now, Hoshiuchi spreads the word that Kuroishi is his cute lover. But it seems Kuroishi is not enjoying this…?

Sakumiya Minagi and his adopted older brother Amou live in a family which protects the katana's, "Kiriyasha" and "Hagasumi". Kiriyasha has been known to be attracted to blood and the only thing that can stop it is the sword "Hagasumi". After the death of Minagi's father, strange people start to appear around Minagi, some attacking him and others protecting him. Soon after, his brother Amou breaks the seal of the Kiriyasha and leaves the Sakumiya house after killing his mother. Minagi now has to fight his brother with the Hagasumi and seal the Kiriyasha once again.

The tawdriness comes from the circus master pimping out his performers to anyone willing to pay. (...) And there's tanbi decadence - ghosts who wander into the action looking like teenaged girls even if they're the hero's brother, and abandoned neurotic women with a thing for inflicting pain, and buracon and possible murder and unspoken pining and a hero who looks about to perish at any moment from terminal angst.
